Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A300 series airplanes; Model A300 B4-601, A300 B4-603, and A300 B4-622 airplanes; Model A300 B4-600R series airplanes; Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes; and Model A300 F4-600R series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of cracking of the main landing gear (MLG) two-piece cages due to incorrect machining. This proposed AD would require replacing an affected MLG with a serviceable MLG and would limit the installation of an affected MLG under certain conditions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. The official record describes this as a completed action.
